Mallory Kate's daycare teacher, Miss Dee, has given her a nickname of "Momma". Being home these last few weeks, I can now see how she has gotten this nickname! Maybe it's innate for little girls to be so loving and nurturing, I don't know. But I'll tell you one thing, Mallory Kate is one little momma! She has been carrying around her baby dolls, patting their backs, putting them to sleep, rocking the babies, feeding the babies...it is so darn cute! So last night we went to Target to get a few things. I was in the toy aisle and she immediately spotted the baby dolls...uh-oh! She was so excited! Her face lit up and her feet started going 90 miles per minute and all you could hear is, "baby, baby, baby!" I have been wanting to get her a stroller or high chair for her babies, so I found a baby doll that came with a little stroller...just her size. Of course, Mallory Kate doesn't understand the concept of paying for things before you open them and I almost ignored that rule myself, just to avoid the battle. So, she attempted to carry this huge box around the store by herself, and of course all shoppers stopped to ooh and awe at her. She thought she was a big girl! So, we get home and this is all she has been doing...went to bed strolling the baby, woke up this morning strolling the baby...enjoy the pics!

Well Checks...
This week we had Graham's 6 year check-up and Mallory Kate's 18 months check up. On Monday, I took Graham to his appointment. I told him from the get-go that he would not be getting shots at his 6 year visit. Well, I lied, as Graham told me. Dr. Washburn informed me that since there has been quite a few breakouts of the chicken pox, there is a new booster. Graham freaked out, ran out of the room, and I had to go chase him! I have never ever seen this kind of reaction from him. He went crazy...held on the the frame of the door, went limp as a noodle when I picked him up, and was screaming so loud...I couldn't help but laugh. The nurse and I finally got hold of him, she gave him his shot, and Graham said, "That didn't even hurt!" All of that drama over nothing. But, the doctor was very pleased with Graham...he weighed 44 pounds (40%-ile) and was 45 inches tall (50%-ile). All was great, besides me lying to him about his shot! Ooops! (And I did feel terrible about it, too!) But Monday, Graham started running a fever on and off. He still played and ate normal, but by Wednesday afternoon I was beginning to get unnerved by this fever. I took a flashlight and looked in his throat, and sure enough I saw little white dots...aka- strep throat! So, went back to the doctor to confirm, and got a prescription for an antibiotic! Whew! Now for Mallory Kate's 18 month check-up. I took her this morning at 8:30. Dr. Washburn was also very pleased with her! She weighed almost 22 pounds (25%-ile) and was 30 in long (25%-ile). Her height to weight body mass ration was at the 50%-ile- so she is a little perfect princess! Dr. Washburn said her vocabulary is above normal for her age. (I think an older brother contributed to that one...or maybe it's just a girl thing. Haha!) Anyways, the little diva had to get 3 shots- :( and her mommy had tears running down her face! I hate it more than my kids do! Mallory Kate was very funny at the doctor's office...she kept telling the doctor "no" as he was looking in her ears. And after she gained composure after her shots she said, "Mommy... keys". So I gave her the keys and she said "Go! Go!" Could you blame her? So I think we have to get shots again at her 2 year visit- let's see what she'll say then! I took this picture this morning, and let me tell you, it's almost impossible to get a good shot of the moving targets!
Nothing like brotherly & sisterly love!

We survived...
Well...our time is ending here at the beach. We have had such a wonderful time! We survived "Supper Club Beach Trip '08"! Most nights we cooked in the house, each couple took turns making dinner and the meals were great! We went out to eat one night at a place called Horry Restaurant, which was pretty good. Mallory Kate and Graham have enjoyed being on the beach each day. It took MK a while to adjust to the sand and water. The first day she hated her feet to be dirty with sand! (She had to get over that real quick!) The next day, she finally took of her Crocs and went for the water. She ended up loving it! Graham has really enjoyed playing with his buddy, Drew this week. They have been swimming each day and have played so much on the beach. Graham has gotten really good at riding the boggie board in the waves. Well, 19 people... 1 house...we made it! (I guess I can return my prescription of Prozac- I didn't even need it! Haha!) Here are some pics to enjoy...

Is there anything more precious than this?

vacation, here we come!
Yeah...I am packing as we speak! We will be heading down to North Myrtle Beach with our Supper Club group in the morning. There will be 10 adults and 9 children, am I insane or what? I am sure it will be pure chaos, but that is okay, because that is what I am expecting! I will post some pics from the beach when we get back! :)

such a fun age...
Mallory Kate will be 18 months later in the week, and let me tell you...I adore this age! She is so much fun- she now understands most things I say and can go get a diaper if I ask her to! She is quite the drama queen, though. (Much different from her older brother at this age!) She loves to get her toenails painted, bows in her hair, and has an incredible shoe fetish! I'm not kidding! The girl loves shoes. I took a quick snapshot and a video clip this morning so you can see the little princess in action! :)

First Lost Tooth...
YES! Graham has finally lost his first tooth! We have been waiting on this wiggly-little-thing to finally fall out! (Actually, Mommy pulled it out with one quick tug!) Now we have to see what the tooth fairy will bring...by the way, anyone know the going rate?
Summer, here we come...
This is the first full week out of school (do you feel the excitement)? We were all ready for that day to finally come. I am really looking forward to spending the summer with my 2 beautiful children, Graham- 6, and Mallory Kate- almost 18 months. We kicked off the summer by having Graham's 6th birthday party at the pool. We had a blast and the weather couldn't have been better for a cool pool party! Graham got lots of cool things for his birthday, like a Nintendo DS Lite from us. We chilled out over the weekend and tried to beat the heat! Yesterday, Monday, was the first real day of the summer break. We had a busy day, which I like! We went to the library in the morning and signed up for the summer reading program. And let me tell you...Graham was everything but excited about that! However, he was excited to finally get his own library card. Then we met Jennifer and the girls at Chick-fil-a for some lunch. They came back to our house and played while Mallory Kate took her nap. After she woke up, I took the kids to the pool...by myself, and it wasn't bad at all! Graham is such a good swimmer now, so I just have to convince Mallory Kate to stay in the water! Hopefully she'll get used to it more and more as we go. We came home after an hour and a half and they were ready for dinner! Busy day...yes...but I loved every minute of it!
